Care Guide For Your Permanent Jewelry: Keeping Elegance Effortless

Welcome to the world of permanent jewelry, where elegance meets ease of maintenance!

Permanent jewelry is designed to make your life simpler while keeping you stylish. Maintaining its luster is a breeze; all you need is a little soap and water to keep it clean and dazzling.

For sterling silver, constant wear naturally helps fend off tarnishing, and gold fill jewelry rarely tarnishes, except when exposed to sulfur found in hot springs.

To ensure your permanent jewelry, including chains and charms, continues to shine brightly, consider these helpful tips:

1. Avoid Lotions & Perfumes

One simple way to keep your jewelry looking its best is by avoiding heavy perfumes and lotions directly on the pieces. When applying perfume, I prefer to move my bracelets and necklaces aside. In case I accidentally get lotion on my chains, I always give them a gentle rinse.

2. Regular Maintenance

Every few months, I like to gently rub a polishing cloth over my sterling silver pieces to maintain their brightness. If you received your permanent jewelry from The Goldie Co., you likely have a small polishing cloth included. If not, don't worry, we offer them on our website just for you!

3. Dealing with a Broken Chain

In the unfortunate event of a broken chain, we've got you covered. If it's within two weeks and the issue is related to welding, The Goldie Co. will repair or replace it at no charge to you. If it's been more than two weeks, you have a couple of options. You can either have it rewelded for a nominal cost at any of our available locations, or you can send it to us, and we'll attach a tiny clasp, transforming it into a removable custom-fit piece of jewelry. Alternatively, you can reach out to any reputable permanent jewelry company in your area, and they should be able to assist with the repair as well.

4. Addressing Chain Stretching

If you notice your chain has stretched slightly, keep in mind that it's unlikely that the metal itself has stretched. Prolonged wear of delicate chains can sometimes lead to the warping of jump rings or the chain itself. To refresh your jewelry and make it feel like new, consider having your chain adjusted with a few links removed. If you'd like, we can even add a charm to breathe new life to your jewelry during this adjustment process!

We hope these tips help you keep your permanent jewelry looking exquisite. Remember, permanent jewelry is designed to simplify your life, so enjoy wearing it without worry!
